Mrs Dux - Students Create Mummies

The 6th grade students created mummies and learned about mummification. This is an Ancient Egyptian religious ritual. The project meets our social studies state standard 8.4.2
State Standard 8.4.2 Students will compare and contrast the ancient river civilizations Objectives: 1. To learn about the ancient river civilization of Egypt 2. To learn about the development of religious traditions (mummification) 3. To learn about the development of language and writing in the ancient civilization of Egypt (hieroglyphics).
