Heather Barber, Kirby Ruhnke Earn Honors
Tuesday, May 6, at the annual Senior High Spring Concert,
Fairbury High School seniors Heather Barber and Kirby Ruhnke were
recipients of the annual awards given by the Music Department.
Heather earned the John Phillip Sousa Award, given to the
outstanding band member for distinguished service to the band
during her high school career. Her name will be added to the
plaques on display as she joins a long list of Fairbury . . .

Jefferson School recently
received another grant from Walmart to purchase technology for the
6th grade. Karen Dux,
teacher and technology assistant, decided to write a
grant for additional equipment. With the grant, the sixth
grade students will have more opportunities to integrate technology

The Lady Jeffs Softball Team hosted their first softball clinic
on May 4th from 1-5 p.m. Nineteen 8-14 years olds
attended the clinic which included working on skills such as:
throwing, fielding, running bases, stealing, sliding,
bunting, and hitting. All the girls had fun and learned a
