More Social Studies

When I arrived at school this morning I noticed that everyone looked a little different. Not in a bad way, but in a good way. Today was school picture day, and it seemed that we all tried to look a little extra nice. I know I spent a little extra time in the bathroom trying to get every last hair to lay just right.

Today in science class Mrs. Hudson handed out a picture of a mammal, reptile, fish or a bird. Rachel told us about her picture of a snail.

Then it was time for pictures. When Mrs. Cerny called us to come get our pictures taken, we jumped out of our seats and were ready to go. Everybody smiled nice and looked good for their picture.

For spelling we had to sign 5 of our spelling words to a partner. I like learning how to sign. I think it will come in handy some day.

The smell of the breaded beef sticks filled the lunch room. We had mashed potatoes and gravy for our side choices. We gobbled down our lunch and headed outside for a game of football.

I was ready for math. Mrs. Mac told us that we were going to learn how to write a number problem three different ways: standard form, word form and expanded form.

P.E. time! In P.E. we jogged or skipped for three minutes. Then, we each had a partner and played catch with. Next, we got in a line and Miss. Seibolt threw us the football down the court. That was fun time and tiring.

In Social Studies we filled out our G.O. and filled in the main ideas and details. We listened to the recording on the tape about this lesson. We had a work sheet about what is true and what is false about lesson 2.

Everybody was ready for the day to get over and done with. It was a great day, I had a fun day. And the sixth grade will get better and better.
