School. That is where I take place as Roving Reporter today. A Place where homework is given constantly and there is only one recess…my place as Roving Reporter.
Starting off the day, since I was running slightly late, everybody
was mainly finished filling in the lunch count. Our next stop was
science class, so we grabbed our books and headed off to
science.
Starting off with science as our first class today, the first thing
we did was checked page 34-35 and then got a vocabulary review page
for the test tomorrow. All of the sudden the bell rang. Some of us
stayed in Mrs. Hudson’s room while others went to Mrs. McAllister’s
room or Mrs. Dux’s room. I also went to Mrs. Dux’s room for
reading.
For reading in Mrs. Dux’s room was maybe a handful you would say as
we checked vocabulary pictures. Mrs. Dux read us a short story
called “Bringing Back Salmon”. We checked questions for the book we
are all reading “A Stranger Came Ashore”, and then we had to answer
questions for the book. As you see, it was a handful in
reading.
In spelling and sign language class, one group practiced signing
the lion song where it goes “In the jungle, the mighty jungle the
lion sleeps tonight” while the other group practiced the song “I
Feel Good” All of us had an assignment which was page 28. Then the
bell rang and we started to head to lunch.
At lunch we had toasted cheese sandwich (grilled cheese sandwich)
with baked beans, and for a snack we had Ruffles potato chips. Due
to rain bla bla bla we had indoor recess. Some people worked on
assignments while the boys played with the Lego’s.
Our first class after lunch was math. Of course we had an
assignment, page 45-46 1-28 all dividing decibels. Before that we
checked page 37-38 2-34 even.
At P.E. we played this game where you roll a dice and the number on
the dice is the number you move your bean bag over. The movement on
that is the movement your whole team does.
In social studies we read a lesson in our textbook and we had
another assignment which was page 11 in our workbook.
After band and study hall, it was almost time to leave. We packed
up our book bags and headed out the door as the bell rang. Now all
we have to think of is tomorrow because we have our first guest
teacher of the entire school year.
