New Writing Project

“Was this going to be an ordinary day, or will there be some thrills and chills?” Let’s find out. I’m ready for my second roving reporter assignment for this school year!

First, we had science class. We learned about what invertebrates have in common. We had to do worksheet page 31. We presented animals we drew on a marker board. We read about chordates and endoskeletons.

Next was math class. This was our first day of algebra. We checked page 67 and practice worksheet 2 and 1. Then we had to do page 71 (1-40). Boy! The math assignment today was a thousand-piece puzzle having to do all those algebra problems!

In spelling we did page 37. We had to find mistakes in the paragraph and circle them if they were spelled wrong.

In PE we played battle ball. The team who had the most volleyballs on their side lost. The PE teacher, Miss Siebolt, measured how far our arms could stretch.

During lunch, we had chicken nuggets. For recess we played kick ball, football, and dodge ball. In dodge ball, it was a tie- boys versus girls. With so many games going on, recess was like a beehive! Everyone was busy having fun.

Next was social studies class. After we checked 2 pages and handed them in, we played the bet game.
In reading we read the story “Tia Lola Came to Stay”. We partnered up twice for workbook page 40 and reading.

Last of all, in study hall we worked hard on our assignments. Of course we were all ready to leave and head for home when the bell rang.

Well, this turned out to be an ordinary day- no thrills or chills this time. That concludes my second roving reporter assignment.
