Math

School. What first comes to mind when you hear the word school? Some people think of reading, math, and homework while others think of lunch, recess, and gym. But to me, I think most people think of just straight terror!

Starting the day after filling out the lunch order, we had science. Starting shotgun in our order today, everyone filled out the lunch form and we headed off to science.

With science starting first today, we had a guest teacher. First, Mrs. Marschman handed out these large pieces of paper, and then she explained to us that we could either write a story about a day in the life of a dinosaur, or we could color our dinosaur. I say that more than half the school chose to color first. After an hour of drawing dinosaurs and writing about dinosaurs, the bell rang and we headed off to reading.

With reading coming second after science, you could say that all we did was work on our school vodcast. As you see there wasn’t much in reading.

In spelling and sign language class, all we had for an assignment was page 42 in our workbook, but then we worked on Halloween signs.

With lunch, the tastiest subject of the day, we had meat loaf. Once we got outside, due to people talking, we had to stand in lines for 5 minutes. After that we played football.

In math we had a slightly large assignment, which was page 86-88, #1-40 all and #48-53 all.

After math we headed off to P.E., where we started Jump Rope For Heart. For the people that don’t know, Jump Rope For Heart is where we jump rope as much as we can, and we go out and raise money for research for diseases.

In social studies, we watched more of the movie “The Prince of Egypt.” It is about Moses leading the Hebrews out of Egypt.

After writing and band or study hall, and since the bell was off time, we waited until it was 3:25, and then we started marching out of the door to line up. After that the day was history.

So as you see, there still may be old things you think about when you hear the word school. There may be some new ones. but of course I don’t make the decisions for you. Remember school no matter what because it will be the most important thingAll I have to say is…get out there, have fun, and learn!
