Oh yes! A half day of school! We were all excited because we get out today at noon and have Friday off. We all came in to sign the lunch count. Mrs. Ahl was our guest teacher. She announced that the schedule was a little different for classes.
As we headed off to science there was a huge traffic jam. When we got into the room, we did our usual L to J. After that we read about the characteristics of birds.
Instead of heading to reading, we were heading to math. When we got in there, we did L to J. Then we headed for reading! Are you confused yet, because I think I am!
In reading we worked on two worksheets. Then Mrs. Mac told us to get out a piece of paper and number to fifteen for L to J. After L to J we read until it was time to go. And then we were off to social studies.
In social studies we did vocabulary with a partner. We studied chapters 3 and 4 if we wanted to. Then it was time for lunch.
As we were heading to go to lunch, the smell of Macho Nachos filled the air. We sat among stacks of books that had already been set up for the book fair. Then we went outside for a game of dodge ball. Then it was time for spelling.
In spelling we first checked our worksheets in our book. Then we studied the words for our test. Then we took the actual test.
It was a short day and not that bad. But as we were heading out, we thanked Mrs. Ahl for being a guest teacher for the day. As we headed out of the building, we all had huge smiles on our faces because we knew that a four day weekend was coming our way.
