Hello students, teachers, and parents. Today was a loco day at school because we were getting out early and switching things around. I’ll go from start to finish.

We start out the day by doing attendance, then lunch count, and flag salute in sign language. Here comes the loco part. We normally do oral reading, but today Mrs. Dux, our 6th grad teacher, said we needed to take the social studies test and the spelling test and the best part about that was we got to use clickers. This lasted all through science.

For reading all the classes came in. It was more crowded than a grocery store on free day. We watched a movie called Balto. Balto is about a dog/wolf who is not really loved in the village, but he wants to help his village by entering a race to help bring medicine back. He wins but is not on the team. The sled team gets lost with the medicine, Balto helps them back, and then he was a hero.

It was about 5 minutes till lunch that Mrs. Dux said to pack up and get ready to go home.
Lunch time!!! Today we had Sloppy Joes yum! Recess - the time of playing. We play on the black top, tennis court, and on the wooden equipment. We played tag, football, dodge ball, kick ball, and 4 square.

We came back inside and Mrs. Dux said we got to go downstairs and play Senate, an Egyptian game, with the 3rd graders. Click to View Pictures. It was a lot of fun. After that, it was time to go home.

Today was a loco day at Jefferson, but that’s what we love about school.
