Bling, bling there was my clock. I just wanted to be a sponge, but I had to get up to start a new day. Then I left my house so that I wouldn’t be late getting to school. Everyone and their dog was there at the school parking lot.
After signing the pledge, we went to science class. Mrs. Hudson, our science teacher, let us see a pupa. It looked like a whitish worm. She handed out the tests and it was already time to go to our other class. So we had to take our tests home for homework.
Mrs. Welsh, our substitute for reading, is such a wonderful teacher. We didn’t do that much for reading. All we did was read a story and a worksheet. On the worksheet, it was as easy as saying 1, 2, 3. We had to read a story and put the events in order.
B I N G O, bingo! That’s what we played in spelling. Actually it was where the teacher signed the animal, and if we knew it, we marked it down on the bingo card. It was fun, actually, because we didn’t have any assignments.
For lunch we all had mini hotdogs and macaroni with some vegetables and milk or juice. It was pretty good. It was as good as wedding cake. Some friends and I just walked around and talked. The rest just played football, dodge ball, jump rope, and some other things.
We only had 30 minutes in class. We did L to J, a time sheet, and also had a test. But the same was with math. We ran out of time, so we toke it home for homework.
We didn’t have PE, thank goodness. We didn’t have music because Mr. Zrust had something to do. But we did have library. All we did was chek out books and then read. It was as boring as if we just got in time out.
In social studies we just had to study our vocabulary for a test that might be coming up soon. Then the other half we did our art. We painted a picture of a tree with leaves falling off it. I don’t thank mine turned out good.
For study hall we did half of it after we got done with our art. Then everyone did their homework. Then it was almost time to go.
That is what Mrs. Dux’s class did on Friday. The day went as fast as a spaceship in the sky. But everyone had fun and stayed safe. As safe as a bear in it’s den.
