Mrs. Dux Reading Our Essays on "The Gift"

After everyone came inside, Mrs. Dux started to sign some words. We mimicked her and learned new sign language words. Then the bell rang and we headed for science.

We reviewed our test. I don’t know much about what happened in science today because I forgot to get the camera and had to go back to get it. When I got back, we were given a dot to dot worksheet. The dot to dot was a picture of either an orangutan or an aardvark. Then everyone ran out the door faster than a drag car.

Next in reading, everyone worked on the vodcast since we have only 21/2 days this week all we will do is work on the vodcast. After that we went back to our classrooms. I am one of the producers of the vodcast so I get to help put them on the computer. Some of the stories are: Weise’s Wisdom, Seibolt’s sidekicks, an advice column, a traffic report, and third, fourth and sixth grade reports. As you can see we are all busy as bees with the vodcast.

In spelling Mrs. Dux signed more sign language words to the class and we guessed what they were. Then we started our Thanksgiving booklets. Next it was time for lunch.

At lunch we ate barbeque on a bun. Then we raced out to recess. I played tag and then football; others played dodge ball and jumped rope. It only seemed like 5 minutes, but it was actually 20 minutes.

Mrs. Mac said to line up numerically to hand in our assignments and test. Then we did a multiplication timing worksheet after that we opened our books to page 153 to get our changing decimal to a fraction assignment 1- 12. We didn’t have any time in class to work on the assignment, so it was going to be homework.

During social studies we watched a Thanksgiving movie about the Pilgrims coming to America. The movie was great because we didn’t have to do an assignment.

Next today was study hall. No one has band on Mondays, so we were all in the classroom. Everyone worked on the vodcast or assignments they had. Study hall was quiet today because everyone had work to do. At last the bell rang, some busses took us home, others walked, and others are picked up by a parent. Be ready for a Thanksgiving Special Edition, filled with stuffing and Turkey on the side.
