Baby its cold outside!!! Wow the weekend went fast! We all forgot that on Mondays we have 30 minutes to ourselves. As soon as we got done with lunch count and flag salute, we started off with the book The Christmas Box. The Christmas Box is one of my mom’s favorite books. It is a good, but kind of sad and happy all at the same time!!
Mrs. Hudson started out handing back Mr. Diamond. After that we checked our worksheet from last Thursday. Next we had a discussion about sugar, whether it was not a mixture. We are going to do an experiment on spring scales.
After science we slowly walked to reading. We checked our L to J from Thursday. Mrs. Mac handed back our test from Thursday too. After all that she read us a poem about a machine that was made out of junk. Then our assignment was a worksheet on Ancient Romans and how they conserve energy like us today.
S-P-E-L-L-I-N-G TIME! We all were excited because we had a new
list of words to learn and spell this week. As we all moaned and
groaned about the assignment we had on pages 78 and 79. After that
we signed the song Let it Snow in sign language. Then it was time
for lunch!
The smell of hotdogs filled the lunchroom. We were all glad that we
were inside for recess, well some of us. We were running down the
hall like a herd of elephants. It was great to get some of our work
done.
Although we didn’t want to go to math, we still went. In math we graphed our L to J and also our pre test for our next chapter. Next we did timing. Then we checked our assignment. We had to show our work or else…. Our assignment was to do five story problems for review from yesterday.
In social studies we had to check our worksheet with our
partner. We were a little behind schedule. We were quickly told the
assignment for tomorrow. We have to draw a Chinese dragon. At the
end of class, Mrs. Dux gave us each a fortune cookie.
In library we learned how to be safe on the internet. We did our
worksheet and then Mrs. Stritzke told us a story about online
safety. We learned how you are never to give out any personal
information on the internet.
We were all excited to see Mr. Z. He told us to go down to a keyboard. “Sit with your partner,” he said. At the end of class we were suppose to have the first two verses done on the keyboard in the song Doe a Deer.
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!! We all had smiles on our faces because we might have school off for tomorrow because of the weather. With thought of a snow day jingling in my head, I headed out the door.
