Let it snow! That’s what I want, snow. When we arrived at school, Mrs. Dux was playing some of her favorite Christmas videos. After the videos were done, it was time for science.
Mrs. Hudson told the class to open our books to the elements table. Then we went to E 18 in our science books. After that we were told to draw a pencil, and then the tip, carbon atoms, individual lead atoms.
During reading we discussed the roving reporter article in the paper. After that we checked our test. I missed 3, not so bad. Then we drew a picture for our vocabulary words. After reading was spelling.
We signed Christmas songs, and then in a flash, it was time for Lunch. Lunch today was fish patty on a bun. It was food, and it was hot, and I’ve had better. Then we went to recess inside. Recess inside is like a sick day at home, not too much fun. After that we went to math.
We did a 2 minute timing over multiplication in math. It was
over faster than a lightning bolt. Then we were given another
assignment. Then we went to Library.
In Library we checked out books for our PowerPoint book report. My
book is called “The Winter Room” by Gary Paulsen. One requirement
is the book had to be an award winner. This book report is due in
April so we have a while to work on it. Next for music we sang Good
King Wenceslas and Caroling O Caroling. Mr. Zrust makes music so
much fun. We love singing Christmas Carols. Next we were off to
social studies.
In social studies we checked our booklet. Then we had a special guest. Bin-Bin Chen talked to us about China. China’s population exceeds the United States by about 4 billion. China is a very interesting place.
Since it was Monday, no one had band. Study hall was very quiet. Finally a long day was over. I thought it would never end like a football game in overtime.
I hope tomorrow won’t be so long. I’m gone and my report is over. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
