Wednesday. That is the day that you think of the glass half full, or the glass half empty. Or in other words, you think that there are only three days of school left until the weekend, as in, half full, or you think that there are three more days of school left until the weekend, as in, half empty. And when I got to school that morning that was exactly what I was thinking.

That morning was a typical morning. So there wasn’t anything really exciting. But once we got to science, we learned that sodium is very radioactive (it can spark up or explode.) We also got a work sheet that taught us the atomic number (number of electrons, protons, and neutrons, in an element) in many different elements. Then we were assigned to make a graph for an assignment.

Inside the treacherous doors of Mrs. Dux’s reading class, we showed our vocabulary posters to the class. Vocabulary posters are when we take a piece of paper, and we make a picture out of it using all of our vocabulary words of that week into one picture. This week, our topic was about uncommon champions. An uncommon champion is a champion that is blind, deaf, handicapped, or maybe someone that has a mechanical body part. In reading we learned that no matter how different you may seem, you can always be a champion.

After everyone got back to our room for spelling, the first thing Mrs. Dux told us to do was to do p.100 in our workbook. After she told us to do that, she gave us a booklet bigger than me after desert at thanksgiving. The booklet was full of signs for sign language. Then she told us to sign 2 sentences for tomorrow. Right then out of the blue, who even knew, the bell rang and it was time for lunch.

For lunch, we had a beef enchilada topped with melted cheese. Mmmmm! When we all went out to recess; some played football while others played kickball.

When we came in from recess, and everyone’s ears and faces were nearly broken, we got ready for math. Once we got into math, we noticed that we had a guest teacher, Mrs. Welsch. When we all got settled in at math, Mrs. Wealch assigned us page 399 #7-13&#19 in our textbook. Once we got done with that, we were assigned a worksheet on about the same thing. Once again the bell rang and it was time for P.E.

In P.E., we used the floating noodle toys that you use in the pool for a tossing game where you and other people go in a circle and pass the noodles different ways. At the end if class we tossed the noodles as far as we could and tried to see how many times the noodle would touch the wall.

Once we got back to social studies, we used the electronic clickers to take our chapter 5 and vocabulary test. After we got done with our test, everyone sat down and read.

So the end of the day has come and everything has been happy. And in my opinion, it was the glass half full for me. And that is the way to think. The glass half full. The glass half full…
