On the day after the Super Bowl, I am roving reporter. After watching an exciting game, it is hard to get back to a regular day of school.

To start the day at school, we talked about the game and about how the Giants upset the Patriots. After that discussion, Mrs. Dux read Peppermints in the Parlor.

First, in science class we started out by checking our assignment. Then we learned about physical and chemical change.

In math we learned about drawing translations and reflections.

In spelling we said the definition for the words, and then we started page 111.

In library we read AR or drew our pictures for our report.

In music we watched a movie.

For lunch we ate a delicious pork patty on a bun. As usual, recess was the same old thing.

In social studies we finished our posters. We created our own poster about the Aztecs, Mayans, or the Olmec. Our assignment was workbook p. 43.

In reading we read a story from our textbook. We learned about the ADA Program for the blind.

In study hall, as usual, we worked on our assignments, but if we didn’t get our poster done in social studies, we had to finish it.

As everyone left the school quickly, it reminded me of the end of the Super Bowl game. Because, when the Giants won the game, the crowd rushed on the field like prisoners breaking out of prison.
