State Writing

Today we started off with a soon to be blizzard, snowstorm. Tomorrow we have the school spelling bee at the high school if the snow decreases. Going into the day, this is Chris Cloyd, “Roving Reporter’’

In science we had a test about chemical change. The first side was fill in the blank. On the other side, we had multiple choice. After that, she gave us pages 50-51 which was only three sentences. Later on we got a fun dot to dot worksheet.

Next in reading we read “Saving Grace”. This story is about a woman who spent all of her life doing laundry and managed to give 150,000 dollars toward university scholarships. We also learned about prefixes and suffixes in our assignment.

This week in spelling we are working on prefixes and suffixes just like in reading. On our assignment we learned about the definition of the spelling words. While we were working in our workbooks, our very own spelling be-errs are working hard in the closet for the spelling bee tomorrow.

Lunch was good and so was recess, but it was what happened after that was amazing. We are having our state wide writing test. The topic was to write about a season that you like the most. That long period of eerie silence was nerve racking.

We all have been informed by our teachers that we get out of school early due to the snow. And as we were getting ready to go, our math teacher gave us a pre test. As I head out the door, good-bye and good afternoon.
