Trudy Spicer - Good Touch Bad Touch

Social Studies Review

It was an ordinary day. I got up ordinarily, got dressed ordinarily, and watched the ordinary Spongebob movie while I ate the ordinary cereal. As I got in the ordinary car to go to school, I wondered if school would be as ordinary as my day so far.

In science class we watched a Disney movie of Mickey and Minnie mouse. While we were watching the movie, we had to pick out a part in the movie that had kinetic and potential energy, and we drew that part from the movie. We showed each other our drawings, and I started reading the section about Joules to the class. Joules are how energy is measured. Mrs. Hudson gave us each a picture of food, and we had to tell how many Joules were in it from reading the back side.

We split up for reading, and my reading class checked over our vocabulary that was due. We ended reading a little early for a presentation on good touch bad touch. Trudy Spicer read a story on good touch bad touch too.

We walked happily down the hall for lunch where we gobbled up our cheesy potatoes and practically ran back down the hall for inside recess.

We checked our assignment and worked on a two minute timing paper in math. We learned how many ounces are in a pound. For example 5,280 feet equal a mile. We also learned how to add and subtract length, width, and capacity.

We fought our way through the wind and ended up at the armory for PE. We played with scooters in PE, and then we headed back toward school where social studies awaited us.

In social studies we played a review game on the computer for the test the next day.

After social studies, we got out our writing assignment, got paired up with a partner, and edited our paper.

Then all of a sudden there was a strange noise. Everybody looked happy but surprised. The sound was the school bell signaling that everyone could go home. I walked out the school doors and realized that today was an ordinary, but fun, day at school.
