1 day left till Valentine’s Day, and none of us can wait! I could tell because when we got there in the morning every one was hyper, not half asleep like usual. As we were getting ready for science, Mrs. Dux was going crazy because the computers weren’t working.

We got there and checked our energy graphics worksheet from yesterday and read page E 56 in our book. Then we did experiment with a thermometer. We had to try to get the thermometer to get warmer. Then we had to try to make it get back to room temperature. After the experiment we got a worksheet that we had to cut, glue, and color.

In reading we worked on our vodcast segments. I am helping with the HTR hallway traffic report. My segment is the 4th graders. A vodcast is a video podcast.

We played sign language bingo. You play by getting a bingo card, some chips or candy, and the caller will sign a word and you have to guess what it is and put it on the words on your card. It’s fun!

During lunch we had chicken strips along with milk, juice, fruit, and salad. Next it was time for recess. During recess some people played jump rope, some played dodge ball, some played football, and some played four square. I played four square.

2, 4, 6, 8 who do we appreciate Mrs. Mac! Mrs. Mac! During math we checked our papers from yesterday. Then we got some index cards to write our customary units down so we wouldn’t forget them. Then we got a worksheet on the customary system.

Today was just P.E. We got there and played Chinese Freeze Tag. Then we stretched. After that we played Scooter Soccer. We had a few rules like girls watch your hair, don’t run over anybody’s fingers, and no hands.

In social studies we took our test over Mesoamerica. We got to use the clickers. After we were done, we could read or work on homework quietly.

Next it was band/study hall. Baritones, trombones, and trumpets had band today. As for the rest of us we had study hall. Most of us went to the computer lab to type our essays, but the rest of the people worked on homework.

As we went home we weren’t as hyper as before. None of us can wait for the chocolate and candy, but we have to. Oh well, we can just dream about it tonight.
