It was just another day in the life of Sydnie. It was a nice day. The sun was shinning and I was eager to learn. The bell rang so we all took our seats and waited for Mrs. Dux to tell us what to do.
In science we did the usual L to J. Mrs. Hudson told us to number to ten and answer the definition. Next we played drug bingo. That’s what we have been learning about in health class with Mrs. Polman. We had reading next so we headed to our reading classes.
We did the usual L to J and our weekly test. We took the test about the story in the book. When we got done with that, we read our books. We handed in our work from this whole week and went to our homerooms.
Spelling was next. We took the test on clickers. We read the rest of the time that we had. Our tummies were growling, so we went to lunch.
Chicken nuggets filled the air. The other choices were grilled cheese or PBJ if you didn’t want chicken nuggets. We all gobbled down our food and went outside to enjoy the fresh air. Math was only for thirty minutes today.
Mrs. Mac told us to get our assignment out from yesterday and check it. Then we did a game on multiplying fractions. It was a review of the week. We all did the problems either on the board or on little white boards. We had teams and whoever won got a sucker.
In computer class we learned more about Publisher. We learned how to put a border around a picture. Mrs. Dux told us to explore with how to do that. We got done with that and then it was library.
Then library was a fun time. We either read or filled out our note cards. Our sketches need to be done and scanned. The time went fast in library. It was time for music.
When it was music time we were all excited. We learned more about our program. The program is called ROCK! We sight-read the songs. After music was over it was study hall.
We had art instead of study hall. We did the drug poster contest. Mrs. Dux handed out construction paper and away we drew.
It was a fun day in the life of Sydnie. I hope I keep having days like this one. The bell rang and so we happily went home.
