Hello my fellow listeners. Today Mrs. Dux had to do a job where
she sees how other teachers teach. Meanwhile we got Mrs. Welch as
our guest teacher, and did what we normally did.
We, as you might know, went to science first. Each of us got a
crossword puzzle about aircraft, and we had to write the definition
of the words on page 66. She said only if we wonted to, we could
color it.
Next we sped like cars to the next class, reading. We started out with our play called “Horton Hears a Who.” Then we got 2 assignments, a quiz based on the play, and a worksheet with a crossword puzzle on one side and vocabulary on the other.
Then was spelling, and today we did review words in a game called sparkle. That’s when the teacher gives us the word, each person says a letter, and when the word is finished, the person after the last letter has to say SPARKLE and they have to define it.
Our stomachs were growling and what luck, it was lunch time. We had French bread pizza. After we all finally got quiet, we went to our classrooms for indoor recess.
Ring! The bell means recess is over, and it’s time for math. We had marker boards, markers, and Kleenexes waiting for us in math. We used them for doing problems together. Then we got an assignment full of fractions.
P.E. time! We grabbed our coats and went. Well we were doing something special today. It was not noodles, not scooters, but gymnastics. We did egg rolls and summersaults.
Social studies time. Today we had a G.O. and page 62 in our workbooks. We learned about Greek myths, gods, and goddesses.
Then Mrs. Dux quickly announced it was language arts and we had to do C and D in our alphabet book autobiography.
We worked through study hall doing our home work. Well I must bid you ado for my roving is over. I hope I don’t rhyme like the Whos on the clover.
