I stared my day the same way as always. I got up and got dressed, brushed my teeth, and brushed my hair. Then, on the way to school we went. The bell rang, and it was time to go to our classrooms and start the day. After the pledge, we went to science class.
In science class we did L to J. L to J is to try to help us learn more vocabulary words. After the L to J test, we all graphed how many we got right on it. Then Mrs. Hudson, our science teacher, had everyone tell her how many we got right.
We didn’t have an assignment, thank goodness. Everyone was happy about that.
Reading class was fun. We started a new book, Comprehension Skills. This book makes us learn how to repeat, listen better, and some other really important stuff. On that book we passed lesson 1. We didn’t have homework either.
For spelling we practiced signing a book. There are four groups, and each group has a different book. Then once we get done with the books and are able to sign it perfectly, we will perform it to the class. I think everyone is trying their best on it. When we were done with that, it was already time for lunch so we didn’t get an assignment.
We had grilled chicken or fish sandwiches with California blend, or you could have PBJ served with the meals, salad, fruit, bread, milk, and juice. I thought that meal was super good. We had recess outside. There were a lot of choices of games to play at recess. Most people played football or dodge ball, but I played basketball.
Lately in math to help us practice better we work on marker boards. Then when we get the answer, we show the teacher. If the problem is wrong, she will look at our scratch work. So that’s what we did in math class. We did dividing fractions. We didn’t have an assignment. We did our assignment in class.
We didn’t have PE. I think everyone was happy about that. In music we just practiced for our music program coming up soon. It’s about rock and roll things. In library we read our books like always, so other people worked on their reports.
Friday was computer lab day. We got to work in Publisher. We worked on business cards, and got to print them. Now we know how to make business cards. Mrs. Dux, our teacher, showed us how.
Then almost at the end of the day we had study hall. People just studied, read books, and what ever they could find to do if they were done with everything. The people that needed to go to band went to band and didn’t get to work on homework.
The day felt almost like a marathon but now it was over. Almost everyone left the school with an empty book bag and happy as can be. Now we’re ready for a long, nice weekend and will come back to school on Monday for a fresh day.
