Social Studies

Wednesday, March 5th, was the end of the third quarter. I was glad to have the Roving Reporter assignment that day because I’d have four days to get it done.

First of all, in science class we started out with L to J . Then we learned two ways to heat a room. The two ways to heat a room are steam heat and forced air heat.

Next, in math class we started on our math test, and then it was time to switch classes.
In spelling we signed our book that we were given. After practicing, we read the book to the class in sign language, and they had to guess what we were signing.

In P.E. we did some of the kinds of gymnastic moves we were taught. Examples of these moves were the egg roll, the handstand, the tripod, round off, summersault, and cart wheel.

For lunch we had BBQ pork on a bun. For recess we stayed inside to play a variety of games. Some of us worked on homework.

In social studies Mrs. Dux read Greek myths to us out of her Greek myth book.

In reading we read a story out of our Story Works Magazine called the “Super Amazing New Kid”.
Last of all, in study hall we worked on all of our assignments and waited for the bell to ring.

We were anxious to leave because it was not just any ordinary weekend coming up. We actually were ready to have four days off! Thursday was a teacher-planning day and in service, Friday was winter break, and then, of course, we had Saturday and Sunday off, as usual. I was glad to have lots of time to do my Roving Reporter assignment.
