Math

Today I didn’t want to go to school, but I guess it is something I have to do. First off science was interrupted by the fire alarm going off and we had to stand outside forever. When we got back inside, we took an L to J test. Also we checked our worksheet that was due, and we filled out a graphic organizer that looked like a diamond. On one side of the diamond shaped graphic organizer we drew an example of a solar panel.

We started off reading class by working on a fluency story. We learned that demonstrative adjectives are words like this and those and proper adjectives are the Mexican in Mexican food or the English in the English language. Then we practiced our children’s books because we are going to read to the first graders.

After reading, spelling came and we checked our worksheet then we played Sparkle. Everyone loved lunch because it was Macho Nachos. It was too good! After lunch my favorite class began, Math! Again we checked our worksheet, and then Mrs. McAllister taught us to subtract fractions. After Mrs. Mac taught us to subtract fractions, we did subtraction problems on white boards.

Finally it was music and P.E. time. In music we went over our program which is about Rock and Roll. Mr. Zrust said that if we could sing our song without looking at the music that we could win a prize, but of course nobody could do it. After music Ms. Seibolt was waiting at the door for us. We had a GAME DAY in P.E. Most of us voted to play bean bag dodge ball. We split up into teams divided by boys and girls. The girls won one game, and the boys won one game. So we were equal.

We slowly walked to social studies from P.E. A movie was playing in social studies about major Greek city-states and we answered questions about the movie.

Oh yes, freedom! School was finally done. I didn’t think I wanted to go to school today, but I am sure glad I did!
