Mrs. Dux Reads To Us

Working Hard

Awwww.... It was Friday and becoming Saturday quickly. Quickly that is until Mrs. Dux told me I was Roving reporter. Then the day drug on and on with that feeling that I had to do well on my paper. I got my camera in one hand and graphic organizer in the other and set out to face the day.

Science time! When we got to science we read in our books on page E81 and E82. After that we learned about biodiversity on earth. Then we got our assignment. We had to draw an animal or a plant to show biodiversity.

After science it was time for reading. We got there and took our weekly test using the clickers. After that we watched our vodcasts. Vodcasts are just like podcasts but they're videos. You can watch them at www.fairburyjeffs.com/karendux and click on Jefferson snoops.

In spelling we had a test. It was easy. When we got done, Mrs. Dux started reading The Perils of the Peppermints by Barbra Brooks Wallace.

We could smell the food drifting into our classrooms so we knew it was time for lunch. We had cheese bread with dunking sauce. At recess everybody played four square.

After lunch and recess, we went to math. In math it was a normal Friday. We took a test over what we learned that week which was adding and subtracting decimals. Then we took a vocabulary test using the clickers.

Social studies was next, but it was computer class today because it's Friday. We finished our lesson on Microsoft Office Publisher. We made our own business cards.

Next it was library and music. In library we had just free reading time. In music we had Shine Friday. Shine Friday is like a mini talent show. The people who are in band performed today which is me. We played the song "Hang on Sloopy".

Next it was band and study hall. We had art today and started a new project; it was a flower. Sax and tuba had lessons today for band.

It was another Friday and another day as roving reporter. It went by quicker then I thought, but still it took forever. Oh well at least I had something to do over the weekend.
