I arrived at school still floating on cloud nine and excited that
our Reading Classic Team had won the District Championship the day
before. However, as I settled in my seat for my first class of the
day, I realized that this day was going to be a normal day of
school and probably not as exciting as winning the championship. Oh
well!!
We started off the day with science class. When we arrived, Mrs. Hudson had us take our seats. We then checked our papers from the previous day. Our class learned about nuclear fission, a type of energy.
Next, we headed to reading class. We went to the computer lab and worked on many worksheets. The worksheets were about the book we are currently reading in class. The title of the book is Sing Down the Moon.
In spelling, we checked over our papers from yesterday. Several days ago, we were assigned books to help us learn how to sign more efficiently. Today, we practiced signing the book. We plan to present our “book signing” to the class tomorrow.
For lunch, we enjoyed popcorn chicken. We ate our lunch quickly and then went out side to enjoy the semi pleasant weather. The most popular recess activities were foursquare and football. I played foursquare with my friends.
After lunch, we went to Mrs. Mac’s marvelous math class (try saying that five times fast). We worked on adding mixed numbers. We practiced this activity on marker boards. I thought this was pretty easy. Mrs. Mac assigned some homework. Boo Hoo!!
Then, we went to P.E. and learned a new dance. It was pretty cool, but everyone is more excited about tomorrow when we will learn to do the Solja Boy dance!! Miss Seibolt gave us a little preview of this dance.
We headed to social studies class and Mrs. Dux had us play a fun review game. It helped us prepare for our test tomorrow. I think that everyone is a little nervous about the test tomorrow.
Today, we had mass band. This means everyone in band comes to class. Those who didn’t have band, worked on their homework.
When the day was over, I realized that today was a pretty good day. It wasn’t as exciting as yesterday, but it was still pretty good overall!!
