Alphabet Books

I started my day off good. Once I got to school the Roving Reporter person went home sick, so I got to be Roving Reporter for Friday. But that was a good thing. After saying the pledge, we went to science.

In science we checked our homework that was assigned yesterday. It was a vacobulary page to help us with our test we had to do. So after that we did our test. I don’t think anyone got done, so we just will have to finish it on Monday. That is all we had time for.

For reading class we all did our special books called “Comprehension Skills”. We got lesson ten done. This book helps us with our listening skills and paying attention. It really works. Then we went over our stories to fix the bad spelling, bad grammar, and any thing we saw wrong. We didn’t have an assignment.

Then we went to spelling class. In spelling we had guidance class. What we did was read a book and played a game called Bucket Filler. It’s where you say good things about someone and their feelings are good. So we learned how to fill someone’s bucket.

For lunch we had mini corndogs, juice, milk, vegetables, peanut chocolate cake, salad, beans, and bread. We had outside recess. Everyone had fun and was probably cold.

During math we checked our subtracting problems. Then we got our assignment to finish our booklet. That was on subtracting story problems. But not just subtracting, algebra and subtracting put together.

In social studies we went to computer lab to work on our alphabet books. Then we went back to the class and got our assignment which was a G.O. The G.O. was on chapter 10 lesson one. It was only three sections. I thought it was as easy as counting numbers.

We didn’t have PE, thank goodness. In library we worked on our book report. We had to have the summary done.

In music we worked on our program that’s coming up on Thursday. We worked super hard.

I don’t think anyone had band. In study hall Mrs. Dux’s class had to split up in the two other rooms because Mrs. Dux had to leave school. Then it was 5 minutes until we have to leave. Ding, ding there was the school bell and it was time to go home. Most people left with no homework, and everyone was happy about that. And me, I went home knowing I was roving reporter. We all are ready for a long weekend.
