Math

When I woke up I knew today wouldn’t be normal. I came into the classroom and our schedule was messed up. Then I remembered we had program practice in the afternoon. The last thing I remembered was that it was Rachel’s birthday.

Several April fools jokes later, it was time for science. Today will hopefully be the last testing day. This science test has been a long one. Some students have taken more than three days to get done. After the test, Mrs. Hudson told us to write the definitions of six vocabulary words in our books. Static electricity is the buildup of an electric charge.

After everyone came into reading class, Mrs. Dux told us to hand in our vocabulary pictures. Then she handed out our new novel, “Stargirl”. Our assignment was to read a story in our text books.

Up next was math, we started by reviewing perimeter, distance around a sided object. Then we reviewed area=number of square units in an object. Length x width. Next we were given an assignment. It was a perimeter worksheet.

Today we had a delicious lunch of flying saucers. (ham, mashed potatoes and cheese) Then we went outside and played dodge ball, 4 square or basketball. It only seemed like 5 minutes before we had to go in but really it had been 15 minutes.

In social studies we checked our graphic organizer from Friday. We were supposed to read chapter 10 lesson 2 but we had no time. Then we got ready to walk to program practice at the High School.

When we arrived at the High School we practiced our program “ROCK!” It seemed like 3 hours by the time we were done, but it was fun. Our program is going to be awesome!

This week band members have to stay and practice while everyone else has study hall. Almost everyone had a math worksheet, or 2 social studies workbook pages. Once again the go home bell sounded, hooray!!

In conclusion, today was a great day. It may have been busy, but a good day. I hope tomorrow will be better, but I know we have practice then also. The good thing is it will be someone else’s turn to be roving reporter. I hope you enjoyed the report.
