Social Studies

Today is the third day of our play practice. If there are any new viewers, we have been practicing a play about the history of rock and roll. Due to the practice, the day has regretfully been cut short.

In science we are starting electric forces and energy. We are studying static energy for the rest of the week. To keep track of it all, we use a slot organizer that consists of two pieces of torn paper stapled and lined to look like a slot.

We were reading Honus and Me. The book is about a kid that is working for an elder lady that hired him to clean her attic. While he’s cleaning, he comes across a baseball card worth a fortune and doesn’t know if he should keep it.

If it wasn’t odd enough, we had math next. This week we are doing the area of shapes. For an assignment we have to times length time’s width.

In social studies we are learning about the Romans. Their government was a peaceful one that was equally just. The people didn’t get treated fair enough, so the government made a consultant compromise.

At the end of the day our acting was almost perfect. The music from our band was phenomenal! And finally to top the day, we all left with a smile.
