Gingerbread Man Escapes!
On Friday, April 11, 2008, after reading the story, “The Gingerbread Man,” Mrs. Schweer’s class made a Gingerbread man. After carefully mixing him up and pouring him into the pan we took him to the kitchen to bake. However, when we returned Mrs. Muell informed us that when she went to take him out of the oven he escaped!
She tried her best to stop him, but he got away. She did hear him say, “Run, run, run as fast as you can, you can’t catch me I’m the Gingerbread Man!” Well the search was on. We looked high and low and asked everyone we saw if they had seen the Gingerbread Man, but he was just too fast. Finally as our last hope we stopped in Mrs. Parde’s classroom and guess what? She was able to trap him and gave him back to us. We were so happy that we took him back to our room and quickly gobbled him up!
