Spelling

Hey! It's me here for roving reporter. Today we’ll cover all the subjects. You’ll see what its like to be a sixth grader here on Jefferson News. Stay tuned, and we’ll be back after these messages.

We’re back, and just in time for science. In science today we covered circuits. We got and put together our own circuits. We got our partners and two batteries. We put the batteries in the circuit and watched a light bulb light up. Mine was very dull, and so were my partners. We connected wires to different places to try to make them brighter, but it didn’t help much. Our assignment was to draw our circuit and to write what our bulbs did.

We got to reading and sat down and started talking until the teacher got so annoyed that she said, “HEY!” We knew to stop talking and to pay attention, so we looked up to see her holding some papers. She handed them out. It said “STARGIRL QUESTIONS Chapters 10-16.” Instinctively we groaned. She said, “I could add more to that if you want me to.” We took out our books quick and started reading. That’s pretty much what happened. We did that most of reading class.

Spelling fun! It’s time for spelling; today it was nothing special though. We just took our weekly test. After wards we checked them. Then it was time for lunch.

“LUNCH!!” That’s what we were all screaming in our heads when we smelled the wonderful food. Today it was popcorn chicken along with milk, fruit, and juice. Recess was inside today. I read with my friends, and we messed around a bit and then the bell rang for math.

MATH! It was time for math. We got there and checked our paper from yesterday. Then we finished our state standards. We left to go to the computer lab to plug our answers in. There were two of them about area and measuring.

Next it was social studies. We got there and checked page 71 in our workbook. Then we read about the starting of Christianity. After that we did page72 in our workbook on that lesson.

Library is a place to relax and fill our heads with knowledge or nonsense what ever we choose. We could also work on our recommendations for our book projects. Mine is on the book “Bud, not Buddy” By Christopher Paul Curtis. Next it was music, and all we did was our music reports where we do a power point about one of our favorite singers. I chose Taylor Swift.

Now it’s time for band and study hall. We had art too. We worked on a flower that looks really cool. If we were done with that, we could do scratch art. For band it was saxophone and tuba.

Hey! It’s me again I hope you see what its like to be a sixth grader. Maybe you learned something too. I know I sure did! Well that’s our show. Tune in next time and we’ll show the life as a sixth grader again. Bye from Jefferson News.
