2008 Earth Festival

Fifth Grade Field Trip

Fifth grade students from Jefferson Intermediate School and other surrounding schools attended the 18th Annual Earth Festival held April 23rd and 24th. The festival was coordinated by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension in Gage, Jefferson and Saline Counties.  Students attended seven sessions throughout the day.  These sessions included:  "Grass and Trees Protect the River", "Wild & Wacky World of Pests", "River Flow Demo", "Sneaky Snakes", "Jeopardy", "Conservation Extravaganza", and "For Our Future".  To view pictures from the festival please click here.
