Crash, Boom, Bang, Kapow!!! The sound of the tornado hitting the
school was just as bad as having homework. Next came the horrible
earthquake, the ground split, it was swallowing students by the
dozens, I was getting ready to let go and lose hope when not the
bell, but an alarm clock started to ring and I realized it was a
dream and I better hurry and get ready for school.
When I got to school I remembered I was roving and that we had a
GUEST TEACHER, Mrs. Welch, for the day. We start by doing lunch
count, flag salute, and then we read Leven Thumps, a marvelous book
I quote. Then we gathered our science and reading stuff and headed
off.
Forcing ourselves to get there, we went to science. We handed in our worksheets and read in our textbooks. By the time that was over we started to leave happy because we didn’t have any assignments. Then, like rockets, we launched to reading.
Today we started by checking workbook page 218. Then we did state standards, and if we were done, we read A.R. books. It felt like hours before reading was finally over, and we got to leave.
Next we were in spelling. We didn’t do much; we took a test on spelling words, and did a little sign language.
Grrrr… We heard a funny sound, and then the bell rang for lunch.
After that we had math. We had two things to do. We had to turn
in our work sheets from yesterday, and then we got another
assignment. But it was very easy to do, so we could have gotten it
done in class.
Now we sadly escorted ourselves to social studies. We spent most of
the time studying because of yesterdays test, and we wanted to
study what we might have missed. Then as slow as snails we went to
library.
It was our last day to check out books, and the day we showed our
powerpoints. We did a G.O. on 2 people, and we said, nicely what we
liked and didn’t like.
We make our way through to music. It was the day we showed
powerpoints there too. We saw Christen, Tiffany, Rachel, and Anna’s
today. Mr.Z said we would continue on Thursday.
Today for art we had to draw pictures for our alphabet books. Felling hopeless, I decided to draw more of my pictures and then get some off the computer.
In study hall we worked on math and on our alphabet books.
I am sorry to say that this is my last roving, but I must bid you
goodbye. But you must also be happy; you’ll be hearing new voices
and different stories next year, and we 6th graders will be doing
bigger and better things.
