Dux's Diary Part 2

Sydnie's Podcast

We started as usual with the flag salute and the lunch count. But one thing is different today, we are going to science today fifteen minutes earlier. Mrs. Dux got a grant from Wal-Mart and so we are going to take a picture outside, and they are going to put it in the newspaper. After we took the picture we went to reading.

Reading was very fun. We read out loud and discussed what science fiction is and what books we have read that are science fiction. We took a vocabulary quiz, and it was different. We had sentences instead of the meaning. Then after we did that, we read the story in our book that was called Lafff. Lafff stands for Lu’s Artifact for Fast Forward. Our assignment was to do page 193 in our workbooks. Spelling was here.

In spelling we learned new words for this week. Then we signed with our partner and preformed our words. When we all signed the words, we had to do page 168-169. Lunch time!

For lunch we had soft taco. Yummy, Yummy in my tummy. The sides were milk, juice, lettuce, and peaches. For recess we played football. The girls won as usual. Math was next.

For math we did a vocabulary quiz. Plus we did the retake quiz if you did not pass. We did the retake quiz on Friday, but we had to put them into the clickers. We also reviewed what we learned from earlier from last week.

Social studies was just like last Friday. We put our answers in the clickers from last Thursday. We took another vocabulary quiz. If we got done with the quiz we could do other work. We were all excited to see what we got on the test.

In Language arts we have two other times to do our alphabet books. All we did for language arts is do our alphabet books. When we got done we got to work on other work.

For library we did our presentations for our books. It was pretty cool to watch people’s presentations. In music we did exactly what we did in library except for it was artists not authors. It was all fun to do that stuff in class.

It was a good day as always. I hope it will be a good rest of the year. We only have twelve days left of school left. I thank the people that brought money for the “Make a Wish” not to get out of school, but help somebody that is sick.
