With lightning hailing down early this morning it was hard to sleep, but I knew I had to go out with a boom for Roving Reporter. Today is my last roving report. I can’t say it hasn’t been fun, but it hasn’t. I also think I may have learned a thing or two along the way. We arrived at school expecting a normal Friday but it wasn’t.
In science class we started by checking our wet cell, dry cell worksheets. Then we turned to E 132 in our test books. We learned about electricity, it starts at power plants, goes to transformers, next to high voltage wires, then to a smaller transformer and to our houses.
During reading we were given 2 Stargirl booklets and a test! After that we worked on our vodcast except for me, I had to figure out a new I-pod recorder. Then it was time for spelling.
In spelling everyone took the bubble test. The bubble test didn’t take very long because the words were very easy. After the bubble test we entered our answers on the clickers. That was fast. Ahh lunch time.
While it was lunch time it was breaded beef sticks, bread, veggies and chocolate pudding. During recess some played football and others played 4 square. Next it was time for math.
In math we put our answers into clickers for yesterday’s worksheet. After that Mrs. Mac told us to check our worksheets. Then it was time to leave.
Time in computer class today was spent on making math slide show games. When they are finished Mrs. Dux’s will put them on her I-pod. They will be used as a fun review for next year’s class. The games will be lots of fun for all the new 6th graders.
In Library a few more people presented their book reports, they were awesome. Next was music where Grayson presented his slide show about Lynrd Skynrd. Then Marissa presented a show about Beethoven.
We started art off by getting paper to make covers for our alphabet books that we have been working on for a long time. We are finally almost done with them. We had to choose partners to work with. My partner was Tyler; much progress was made on the covers.
Most of the class had art to work on for study hall today. The only other assignments were a worksheet in science, another worksheet for math and reading booklets and a test.
Hopefully there will be no thunder and lightning tonight so my dog won’t come out of her skin. I hope I went out with a boom!!! Maybe the thunder helped me. Goodbye forever muha ha ha ha oh wait I’m still recording NOOOOOOO!
