2008 FBLA Banquet
New Officer Team Installed

“FBLA: Leadership in Action” was the theme for the 2008 FBLA banquet held Monday, May 5, in the High School Commons. President Justin Schultis welcomed 63 members, parents, and guests. Sophomore John Mach provided the invocation prior to the meal. Ron Klaus grilled hamburgers and hot dogs for the pot luck dinner.
The 2007-08 officer team consisting of President Justin Schultis, Co-Vice Presidents Heather Barber and Brandon Hirsch, Secretary Ethan Meyer, Treasurer Laura Judd, Reporter Cassi Klaus, Parliamentarian Traci Knobel, and Historian Allie Skidmore provided an overview of the program of work for the year. State Leadership Conference participants were recognized and an overview of award winners was provided. Members receiving Perfect Attendance awards were Heather Barber, Greg Bauer, Brandon Hirsch, Laura Judd, and Cassi Klaus.
Four-year member recognition was given to seniors Heather Barber, Bin Bin Chen, Tashawni Davis, Brandon Hirsch, Laura Judd, Cassi Klaus, Kara Knobel, Gina Roelfs, and Jasmine Schwisow. Senior officers Heather Barber, Brandon Hirsch, Laura Judd, Cassi Klaus, and Ethan Meyer received special recognition for their dedicated service to Fairbury FBLA.
The 2008-09 officer team was installed: President Justin Schultis, Co-Vice Presidents Traci Knobel and Allie Skidmore, Secretary John Mach, Treasurer Brandon Krause, Reporter Jake Bell, Parliamentarian Ridge Barber, and Miranda Barber.
Outstanding Class Member Awards were given to Freshman Miranda Barber, Sophomore John Mach, Junior Justin Schultis, and Senior Heather Barber. Chapter members voted Schultis the 2007-08 Outstanding FBLA Chapter Member Award recipient. A year-end slide show created by Allie Skidmore and Traci Knobel ended the evening and another exciting, memorable year for Fairbury FBLA.
