When I got out of the car today I knew it was going to be a good day. As soon as I got on the tennis courts I saw everyone had a smile on their face. Then the bell rang and the classes went inside.
Reading was next, and we read a story out of our reading book called The Lost City of: Maccu Picchu. After that we read our descriptive sentences to the new student in our class. Next we had to read chapter 4 in a book called A Stranger Came Ashore and answer questions about that chapter.
Language arts was next, and we worked in our spelling workbook. We learned about morphographs. We did not have to go through the pain of Reasoning and Writing. Afterwards we went to social studies. We worked on our maps of our own countries. We will present them Thursday.
Lunch was next and as we walked into the lunch room the smell of toasted cheese sandwich flared in our nostrils. I had toasted cheese sandwich, tomato soup, bread, and chocolate milk. Then we went to recess and went to our homeroom.
Then the teacher passed out peppermints to the class. Then she read Peppermints in the Parlor to the class. Then Miss. Seibolt arrived and we went to P.E.
During P.E. we ran a lap for warm up. After that, we punted footballs. I accidentally kicked the ball to the left and over the fence. We got pedometers this morning but I forgot to tell you about that. By the end of the day I had 7087steps!
Math was next, and it was kind of hard. We had to do beginning algebra. For our assignment we had to do problems out of our textbook.Science was here in a hurry. We used graduated cylinders to measure how much water rose up when we put something in the cylinder. Then we filled out a worksheet about it.
The end of the day was near, and I got all my homework done. You could see the students working hard to get their homework done. Then the bell rang and we were gone.
