Ice, wind, snow, oh my!! I felt like I was in Antarctica as I slipped and slid into the school. First thing before school, I had Sing Around Nebraska practice. S.A.N is a choir of people in Nebraska that sing songs in front of a lot of other people. After making my voice sound like an old lady, it was time for school to start.
Phew, I made it just before the bell because I wanted to start reading right away. Dear Roving, in reading today we watched some clips about Anne Frank, a Jewish girl who goes into hiding during the Holocaust. We also checked the packet from our Anne Frank book. Well I need talk about the rest of my day. Yours, Paige. La la la la la language arts and spelling.
“ Bob, Bob, it’s a twister!” “What should call it, George?” “Reasoning and Writing!” It’s a very complicated thing and we had to make a outline diagram on Figure A ( a triangle ) and Figure B ( a square ). Now that were through that mind field, lets go to the “lab” otherwise known as the science classroom.
Chemical and physical changes were what we experimented with Dr. Dave. The first experiment was colorful, bubbly, and chemical. Next test that we did made a balloon inflate without blowing in it. The last one was my favorite, school made silly putty! It was made with cornstarch, glue, borax, and our fingers. It was really, really fun.
Our meal today was a delicious pizzawich with a nice carton of milk and choice of whatever was on the buffet table, Bon appetite! After recess, Mrs. Mac’s class came to social studies as we were watching a movie about a city in China. D.A.R.E., what’s that spell, DARE! We had our first DARE class with our police teacher. We had to then rush to P.E where we played scooter soccer.
Math time, a subject that talked today about factors and that had a worksheet for all of us to do. It was time to finish my homework before going home. Brinnng! Too late. Well maybe my friend and I can work on it together. After all, friends are helpers and helpers care.
