The school week has begun and I think it’s going to be a great week. I think people are glad about this week because it’s only four days long.

In reading class we began a novel called “Under the Blood Red Sun” which is about a boy named Tomi whose family is Japanese at the bombing of Pearl Harbor. The class is glad to start a new book because of the last book which was dull and boring to most of us. Reading came to an end swiftly and it was off to language arts.

Language arts started off with a spelling lesson which we haven’t done in a while. After spelling was the all known reasoning and writing which was just the normal boring old lesson.

Ratios are what we experienced in math class. I can’t really explain it very well because it’s so confusing. Even though I have had experience in ratios, I still don’t understand. Math came to its glorious end and next came lunch.

P.E. class was different today than most expected because we were all thinking it was going to be the beginning of dance week, but due to Ms. Seibolt’s cold we started multi cultural games. Our sixth grade play was on the  “to do” list in music so we sang through our two songs and then it was time to go.

Speed, speed, speed that’s all we talked about today in science. The class started off the day with learning about the fastest animals in the world, and so far, we have learned that the peregrine falcon can go 200 mph, but the main animal we focused on that day was the cheetah. After the interesting science class was over it was off to social studies.

Chinese cultural facts are our main priority in social studies. We learned about the cultural religions and ways of the Chinese people. A worksheet was also included with a video to help us along the way.

Study hall started and a group of kids roamed off to band. After band and study hall, the day came to an end.

When we all walked out of the doors, we showed giant smiles.
