Band Students Participate in York Honor Band

Saturday, February 27, nine Fairbury Junior Hi students traveled to York for the Middle School Honor Band Festival. They were divided into separate Seventh and Eighth grade bands, Both bands rehearsed all afternoon and performed to a packed house that evening. Eighth graders who attended were: Adam Umland, Chris Cloyd, Debby Snider, and Gabe Dux. They rehearsed and performed "The U.S. Field Artillery March", "Prevailing Winds", "Wonders of the Universe", and "High School Musical".
Seventh Grade members, Alysssa Stewart, Brittany Ward, Gabby Weatherl, Nate Klaumann, and Nicole Graham rehearsed and performed "The Thunderer", "Dark Odyssey", "Shades of Gold", and "Gimme Some Lovin'". There were a total of 385 students from 32 schools in attendance at the Honor Band, and the students enjoyed meeting other young musicians and making music together.
