Heather Barber, Kirby Ruhnke Earn Honors

Tuesday, May 6, at the annual Senior High Spring Concert, Fairbury High School seniors Heather Barber and Kirby Ruhnke were recipients of the annual awards given by the Music Department. Heather earned the John Phillip Sousa Award, given to the outstanding band member for distinguished service to the band during her high school career. “FBLA: Leadership in Action” was the theme for the 2008 FBLA banquet held Monday, May 5, in the High School Commons. President Justin Schultis welcomed 63 members, parents, and guests. Lady Jeffs Softball Hosts First Clinic

The Lady Jeffs Softball Team hosted their first softball clinic on May 4th from 1-5 p.m. Nineteen 8-14 years olds attended the clinic which included working on skills such as: throwing, fielding, running bases, stealing, sliding, bunting, and hitting.
