With the end of the school year racing closer each day, the students in grades 3-6 got to display their track and field talents on May 9th. There were students from Central, Jefferson, and St. Michaels schools.
In the 5th & 6th grade division there were three records broken. Amber Hansel from Mrs. McAllister's class broke the 400 meter dash record with a time of 1:05.29. Mrs. McAllister's girls 4 x 100 Relay team also broke the record with a time of 56.94. Jordan Roseborough from Mrs. Dux's class broke the Shot Put record with a throw of 40'4".
All of the kids performed well that day. There were a lot of close finishes in both the running and field events. The good weather helped a lot. The kids had a lot of fun and enjoyed the day of competition.
Make sure to check out the records sheets. Have a great summer!!
