Each year Fairbury FCCLA organizes a food drive for the Blue Valley Community Action Center. The three schools compete against each other to see who can bring in the most non-perishable food items. The school that brings in the most food is rewarded with seeing their principal dress up in a turkey costume for an entire day. This year’s clear winner was Jefferson and the new principal Mr. Molloy had the honor of wearing the turkey costume. Altogether the three schools brought in roughly 652 pounds of food to donate to Blue Valley. FCCLA is happy to kick start the season of giving with this food drive, and we want to thank all who donated for helping families in our community have a happy holiday season!
