Senior Spotlight – Megan Mees

Honor Society Members Selected

The Fairbury High School chapter of National Honor Society has selected the following students as new members based on scholarship, leadership, service, and character: Avery Baumann, Adeline Blatny, Lily Davis, Karelin Deras, Natalie Heidemann, Regan Kapke, Olivia L’Ecuyer, Addison Marschman, and Lauren Wanamaker. There will be a formal induction ceremony on Monday, March 6th at 7:00 PM in the Burkley Fine Arts Center.

Makena Schramm Wins the Gold at Girls State Wrestling

State Wrestling Champion Makena Schramm returns to Fairbury to a parade, escort and cheers from her many supporters!! Makena told me how surprised and happy she was at the turn out for her celebratory parade and how excited she is to come back home as State Champion!
Makena has already signed her letter of intent to wrestle at Midland University and plans to major in Criminal Justice and Education as she wants to also coach in the future.
Makena is Fairbury’s 3rd State Wrestling Champion and our first since Steve Knigge in 1985 and Ross Boekner in 2002.
